“Are you sitting uncomfortably?” for UKTV

How do you turn compliance topics into gripping story lines?

“I loved the storytelling. It’s really stuck with me and changed my habits.”

UKTV asked Acteon how we would communicate the importance of data protection and information security in a broadcasting environment. We said: “It would be amazing to do it in the style of an episode of Crackanory.”

Crackanory is one of UKTV’s most popular comedy programmes – with celebrities like Jimmy Carr and Sue Perkins narrating modern-day fairy tales for grown-ups.

The UKTV team loved the idea, so Acteon scripted and produced a short (and disturbing) story about the dangers of hacking in the TV industry.

We blended filmed narration with animations and additional interactive learning content to create a memorable and effective experience for colleagues.

"We didn’t want boring e-learning. We were determined to create something unique – and Acteon delivered that for us."

- Meridith Goodman, UKTV
