Is your organisation trying to be good at AI?

Everyone is using AI. But not everyone is using it well.

Too often, businesses are finding that AI adoption schemes are stalling, because showing people how to use AI isn’t the same as feeling confident in how you’re using it, maximising its benefits for your work, and staying in control of the technology.

We’ve created something to help. Free, bite-size training to help everyone get good at AI. No strings attached.

The challenges of AI at work

At Acteon, we have 40+ years of experience using behavioural science to inform learning, communication and technology campaigns across a wide range of sectors.

Over the last few years, we have been having conversations with clients about the increasing ubiquity of AI at work. We’ve also been grappling with this ourselves. What does AI mean for us as writers, designers and technical experts?

These questions, and more, have been in regular rotation for us:

  • When is AI okay to use?
  • How do we stay ahead of the technology?
  • How do you use AI whilst keeping private information safe?
  • What if we lose skills whilst relying on AI for answers?

So we decided to do something about it. We sought to create ways to think about these questions, to frame the use of AI at work, and to boil down the problems that so many people are facing now and to find a way to help people answer them themselves.

Adopting positive habits

We know that people are using – and will continue to use – AI at work. So we need to help them to use it well, to learn when to pause and think, and to know when it’s not needed.

Behavioural science teaches us that positive change happens when small actions are made into habits. We need something to be easy to pick it up as a habit, we need to want to do it, and we need to be prompted to do it.

In response to these three requirements, we have created a set of free short videos to help employees use AI safely, confidently and effectively. Each bite-size lesson is free to download, compiling a snippet of AI best practice with our behavioural approach, so that it’s easy to turn these five actions into regular habits.

It can be easy to feel overwhelmed by the rise of AI. We created this training, in part, to help reduce those fears. To know that there are easy ways to feel like you’re leading the technology, rather than following it. And to find your own way through the noise, without falling into using AI as the default.

AI can be brilliant. It can maximise speed and efficiency, and help enhance your work in lots of ways. But to use it well, we need to use it thoughtfully. Our easy actions make it all manageable, helping anyone get better and more confident at using AI in the way that works best for them.

We really think this can help people in the way they think and work. That’s why we’re giving it away for free.
