Acteon wins record fourth award for e-learning adoption
Acteon won the highly competitive Gold E-learning Award for securing widespread adoption for a record fourth time Thursday evening at the e-learning industry's annual awards dinner in London. The Cambridge-based communications and training firm was recognised for its work with Cambian Group, a leading UK provider of specialist services in education, mental health rehabilitation and learning disabilities.
Acteon was also a shortlisted finalist for the E-learning Industry Outstanding Achievement award and for its sustained contribution to the training industry over the last 30 years.

The focus on engaging with Cambian stakeholders led to enthusiastic adoption and high levels of take-up of the e-learning. This has resulted in the project delivering savings of twice the projected budget savings.

Acteon's success in this area stems from its commitment to ensuring the e-learning solutions it provides its clients do not wither on the vine unused, but yield the training and business outcomes they were designed to produce.
"We don't assume that if we build it, people will automatically embrace it," said Matthew Borg, co-managing partner of Acteon. "We work on things like change communications, branding, and internal marketing so that the investment in e-learning is successful and people use it, and in using it they improve quality, efficiency, and customer care."
This blend of services has helped Cambian Group launch its new training initiative 'Achieve' to some very impressive numbers since May, despite the obvious challenges of implementing e-learning in a care setting.
The Cambian Group provides specialist care for more than 1,100 individuals, in 60 facilities, and employs more than 3,500 staff. Since May, staff members have completed nearly 18,000 modules.

Other Acteon award-winning projects indicate that enthusiasm for e-learning doesn't fade over time, but instead becomes an integral part of the business.
"Clients continue on to broaden their use of e-learning and blend it with other modes of training," said Matthew. "Clients go from having no e-learning, to being a business where someone completes an e-learning module every two minutes, 24 hours each day. That's adoption. And it's making a difference to businesses and the quality of service that people provide. That's what we aim to do."
